RDPE Growth Programme

RDPE Growth Programme

Grants for Tourism & Food Processing – everything you need to know at their free events

Tourism and food and drink processing projects that will create jobs or bring more money into the rural economy could be eligible for grant support.

Rural businesses, charities and public bodies can apply for capital grants from £35,000 for projects that deliver new or enhanced rural tourism assets and infrastructure. N.B. New or expanded visitor accommodation is not a priority for investment and will only be supported where there is evidenced unmet need and demand.    New or existing food and drink processing businesses (including diversifying farm businesses) in rural or urban areas can apply for capital grants from £35,000 to support business start-up or expansion. Proposals located in urban areas must demonstrate how their activity will create jobs and growth in the rural economy.

These RDPE Growth Programme grants are currently open to applications with a deadline of 31 May 2018 for submissions of Expressions of Interest.

Free events in Devon and Somerset will provide key information for potential grant applicants including:

- Details of the grants that are available;
- How to apply; and
- Opportunity for Q&A with the Rural Payments Agency team managing the grant application process.
