Exeter Gin introduces NEW Refill Pouches and more
In an effort to strive for continuous improvement in both their working environment and products, Exeter Gin has been looking at how they can improve, start to deal with the new normal, do their bit for the environment, the trade customer and for their retail customers.
They are super excited to announce their new and exciting range!
There is a lot of cheap hand sanitiser out on the market place. Exeter Gin believe there is a gap in the luxury market. In the same way as there is a place for high end hand wash, they believe there is demand for a high quality, luxury hand sanitiser. To that end, they have created hand sanitiser with pure essential oils whilst still following the WHO formula to ensure maximum effectiveness. This gives it a luxurious feel, delightful fragrance, all wrapped up in a beautifully presented box (made from card only), making it a exceptional gift that shows you truly care.
For those who wish to be a bit more creative with their G&Ts, Exeter Gin have developed a range of delicious Gin Bags. These are cold brew blends, which are dipped into the gin and allowed to infuse, creating a wholly unique experience for the consumer. The blends change the colour and taste of the gin, and come in fruit and floral or health promoting ranges.
As most things are going through the post, Exeter Gin felt it was appropriate to do the same with their gins. They have also seen an increase in consumers enjoying their drinks at home and sharing experiences via technologies such as Zoom. So, they developed a letterbox gin tasting experiencing, with their range of gins in 5cl pouches conveniently boxed, accompanied by a fully branded tasting card. Using stand up pouches makes it lighter to transport and has an added benefit of a reduced foot print. From their range of 6 gins (although more are on their way!), they have created five mixes to choose from.
Refill Pouches: As described, the refill pouches are for those who simply like gin in a bag; whether that’s to take out on the water, camping or to simply refill those beloved collection of gin bottles. Of course, buying gin in a bag means you don’t have to hide the mountain of bottles in the recycling bin!! Exeter Gin will now be supplying four gins from their range of gin in 1ltr and 500ml refill pouches (the Navy strengths will be added to this range later this year). These will be boxed and capable of being sent through the post. As well as being suitable for online sales, the pouches can be stacked easily on shop shelves and in pub stock rooms.
To the hospitality sector: it reduces the mountain of glass that needs to be collected frequently down to flat packed pouches, as well as substantially saving stock storage space.
Exeter Gin continue to innovate... In response to Covid, Exeter Gin were quickly able to put in place online sales for their gins to ensure you were able to get a top up of your favourite tipple. Having increased their audience both at home and abroad, they spotted an opportunity to innovate and change the way they can deliver our products. That’s why they are so very excited to share with you their Letterbox Gin and Refill Pouches.
Eco Stuff The pouch is made from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), which is completely inert at normal temperatures and therefore does not affect the flavour of the gin. PET is recyclable and highly sustainable. It can be recovered and recycled again and again. It is also incredibly durable meaning there is little chance of popping the pouch open.
For those of you who want to get a bit more technical - gram for gram PET products generate more CO2 and use more water during manufacture compared to glass. But at only 130 microns thick (around 20 times thinner than a glass bottle) their pouches produce less greenhouse gasses, require less water, and use five-times less abiotic material (minerals and fossil fuels) compared to a 5cl glass bottle. They also weigh less, pack smaller, don’t require bubble wrap to protect them, and can be popped through your letterbox, making them one of the cleanest ways to transport small volumes of liquid going.
