Exeter Golf and Country Club
Topsham Road, Countess Wear, Exeter, EX2 7AE
Good food and drink is at the heart of any get-together, whether it’s a casual catch up or a special occasion.
Exeter Golf and Country Club has been a home-from-home for club members since 1895, and a much-loved restaurant and spa for visitors too in more recent years.
Whether squeezing in healthy brunch with friends after a work-out or fuelling up for an afternoon on the golf course, the Members’ Bars offer quality, everyday food morning, noon and night, immersed within the sport and fitness facilities.
Adjacent to the club, is the Georgian grandeur of Wear Park. Home to both Wear Park Restaurant and Wear Park Spa, along with elegant meeting rooms housed on the first and second floor, it is full of original character and charm.
Wear Park is open to non-members. Wear Park Restaurant, with views across the putting greens and 18th hole of the golf course, has become a firm favourite for afternoon tea, Sunday roast or even lunch after a morning of Elemis treatments in the spa.
Head Chef, Adam Little, works to the mantra that the little touches make the biggest difference, so each dining experience is memorable, from a burger with the kids to the finest food for a special birthday celebration.
Adam knows it’s not just what you know, but who you know, and is proud to work with some of the best regional partners available, from local dairies, bakeries, butcher and fishmongers to drink producers – the Devon and Cornwall Gin List is a case in point.
