Ridge & Furrow makes award winning naturally sweet Devon craft cider in small batches from 100% fresh cider apple juice.

Our ridge and furrow orchard is thought to date back to at least the 1890s. It has been restored to former glories since the 1970s and now has 30 traditional Westcountry cider apple varieties including Kingston Black, Dabinett, Sweet Coppin, and Yarlington Mill. It was officially designated by Devon Wildlife Trust as a County Wildlife Site in 2013.

All of our ciders are handcrafted using the artisan method of 'arrested fermentation' induced by multiple rackings and aided by using apples from our own mature low input orchard. This ensures a gentle fermentation, which produces a clean well-balanced cider that retains some of the apples’ natural sweetness.

The quality of our naturally sweet craft ciders has been rewarded with a number of awards including: Silver Medal for Medium Cider & Winner of the People’s Choice award at the British Cider Championships in 2018; and at the Devon County Show Best Sweet Cider in 2015, 2016 & 2017, Best Bottle Conditioned Cider in 2018, and Supreme Champion, Reserve Champion and Best Newcomer at the Devon County Show 2015.
