Salcombe Dairy Launch ‘The Bar’ Miniatures for Hospitality Trade

‘The Bar’ bean-to-bar milk and dark chocolate, crafted from organic fairly-traded Peruvian cacao nibs, is now available as individual miniature chocolates.  At 25g, they are perfect pillow favours for hotels, B&Bs and self-catering accommodation providers as well as coffee accompaniments and after dinner treats.  Hand moulded in Devon, each divine chocolate is individually wrapped in 100 percent compostable packaging and can be purchased direct from Salcombe Dairy ( 

The four irresistible flavours available in the new miniature size are Dark Chocolate, Evening Star, Dark Chocolate with Peppermint and Milk Chocolate Honeycomb.  Perfect for both milk and dark chocolate lovers, Evening Star is a rich, luxurious and smooth delicate milk chocolate boasting stronger and darker flavours than standard milk chocolate.  ‘The Bar’ Dark Chocolate is a decadent and sumptuous bean-to-bar bitter dark chocolate made using 70 percent organic Peruvian cacao.  Extremely refreshing with an unmistakable aroma, Dark Chocolate with Peppermint contains 72 percent organic Peruvian cacao with peppermint oil, making it the perfect sweet treat or after dinner mint.  Completing the newly launched range, Milk Chocolate Honeycomb is a true delight with crunchy golden honeycomb pieces encased in glossy velvety milk chocolate.

 ‘The Bar’ is named after Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s poem ‘Crossing the Bar’, which is believed to have been inspired by Salcombe Bar - a sandbar just off the coast of the seaside town.  The delicious chocolate is made with passion at Salcombe Dairy’s South Devon premises.  Organic cacao is sourced from the Peruvian rainforest and brought back to Devon where melange, conching, tempering and finally moulding all occur.  During processing only the best local ingredients are added to create the outstanding chocolate, with each dark chocolate bar having a minimum cocoa content of 70 per cent.
