Zero Waste Workshop
Topsham Road, Countess Wear, Exeter, EX2 7AE
Conscious about the amount of waste your company produces each year? This workshop is for you...
Join Food Drink Devon on Thursday 19th September for our Zero Waste Breakfast Workshop.
Amanda Keetley founded Less Plastic in 2015 to raise awareness of the ocean plastic crisis and inspire individuals and organisations of all sizes to use less plastic. She has brought the “less plastic lifestyle” to a wide audience via her blog, infographics and social media. Amanda will empower you to accelerate plastic reduction efforts in your organisation and talk about her practical five-step framework to become a Plastic Game Changer.
The University of Exeter will share an inspiring video about Food and the Circular Economy, offering you the chance to ask questions about the project that helped SMEs within the South West to create a circular economy within their companies. They will also share with you their future plans for Circular Food.
Old Mill will talk about "Converting your rubbish into profit." From this you will learn how to understand the true cost of your waste, how to keep track of your costs and what effect this has on profits, and how waste can be used to generate revenue.
Two Drifters Brewery and Distillery firmly believe in making a product that tastes amazing, actively helps the planet and is affordably priced. They will be joining us at the workshop to share their carbon negative story.
This workshop will not only offer you the chance to learn, but also to network with like-minded businesses within Devon. We would love for you to attend even if you feel you are doing all you can do to reduce your waste! Come along and share what you have learnt as a company, doing your part to inspire others in the Devon food and drink industry.
